Why men are more overweight than their wives?
Dec 15th, 2008 | By Joe B | Category: ExerciseGuys approach weight loss much different than women, hate to count calories, and therefore guys are not so quick to jump on the diet bandwagon.
Men love their favorites, such as burgers, pizza, hot dogs, lasagna, pot roast, tacos and scrambled eggs. But look out guys, too much of a good thing has a way of sneaking up on you and before you know it you are in trouble. Check out this study that was done recently.
The National Institute of Health (NIH), conducted a study over a 30 year span, showing nine out of 10 men and seven out of 10 women were overweight or became overweight. But despite being more prone to obesity, only 39 percent of men are on a diet or would try a diet to lose weight, as opposed to 70 percent of women.
Let’s start with your activity level and the diet will fall right into place.
it’s time to wake up and get a regimen - some walking, jogging or biking will do. Activity is the best medicine and getting started is the hardest part of it. Before you know it though, you will be looking forward to that jog around the park or maybe even planning a 5k race in your local area.
