I have ,said this for a while now, “you have to be regimented to be happy”. Think about it, how can you really achieve happiness if you are not regimented? A strong regimen begins every day when you wake up each morning and hopefully take your Joebees to give you the energy, stamina and strength to start your day off right. Exercise is so vital to the “happiness” regimen. No matter what you do, walk, run, play sports, this activity will make your feel good and look good which is so key to your regimentation. This must be practiced at least five times a week including every weekend. Remember, it takes twenty one days to become habit and then part of your regimen. As we say; “do the do”, even if you have to force yourself, you will be a discover what true happiness feels like.

Your body works just like a machine, so treat it like one. When you go out to do your run, monitor your body. It works like an outboard motor on a boat. When you first crank it, the motor is cold; it spits, sputters, smokes and sometimes even stalls. Just like your body, the engine needs to warm slowly.

As you run that rough-running engine out of the harbor, it starts to smooth out a little bit as it warms up and and as you give it a little more throttle, then you open it up and you start to leave a nice clean wake, the engine finally runs efficiently, warmed up just like your body should.

For maximum efficiency during your work outs, start very slowly and warm your body’s engine carefully and then go full throttle!

There is a new positive and very effective way to lose weight. Actually Ive been doing it for years so it just isn’t talked about much. Eat for more energy and less immediate satisfaction.

it is mindset!

Most of us have a problem limiting our portions when eating. Let’s stop eating sooo much and start thinking about the energy we’ll get when we “eat for energy”.

Food is fuel, but that sounds so sterile. A more exciting and empowering approach is to eat to feel great. Eat until you feel light and full of energy. When you use this method, you don’t even have to think about the amount of food in your stomach.

When you sit down to eat; ask your body to let you know when it has had enough. Pay close attention with each bite. You will get a subtle, but clear, message to stop when your body has had enough. You may even think you’re making it up. The message will often come after just a small amount of food.

When you experiment by following your “full” signal and stop eating at that point, you will find yourself feeling light and energized. You may not even feel a difference in your stomach at all.

Make it a practice to give your body just what it needs…not too much…not too little.

As you eat, ask yourself if you need more energy…
*Will you feel better, lighter, more energized if you eat this bite?
*Will you feel comfortable and satisfied?
*Or will you feel heavy, tired, too full?

The body has amazing powers of self-regulation and will communicate its needs to you if you will listen.

At first it may feel strange to eat this way. Over time though, you will find that…
*Your energy levels are soaring.
*You are not getting sleepy after you eat.
*You feel less fuzzy.
*You feel more replenished by food.
*Fresh, unprocessed foods become more and more appealing to you and make you feel better.
*You are more creative.
*You feel happier and more at peace with yourself.
*Extra pounds have dropped away easily and effortlessly.

In the beginning it may seem like paying so much attention to your hunger and energy takes a lot of time and attention. Just remember that the skills you’re learning will set you free from obesity and diet craziness for the rest of your life.

Feel Great! Bee Great!

To lose weight and then keep it off for any extended period requires a few simple lifestyle modifications. The key is not to make dramatic changes that are hard to sustain. I am going to share a few tips that will start you on the right path to helping you sustain your weight loss without shocking your body by a major interruption.

Tip #1. Exercise daily

Forget about having to join a state of the art gym with all the fancy equipment, etc. Starting with a simple daily exercise will help activate your body, mind and spirit in a postive way. When you start exercising, your heart has to work a bit harder, plus your mind and body follow along. This leads to your heart having to pump blood throughout your body more effectively.

Start with a brisk walk around the block. Do this for 3 days and then add another block. You will start to notice a change in your step. Your body will LOVE you for your new found energy as well.

Eventually you’ll want to exercise 30 minutes a day at a pretty good clip. It does not require a large amount of time exercising to receive all of the above benefit. You simply need to workout regularly for a minimum of half an hour.

Working out means taking a two-mile walk at a fast pace, throwing a Frisbee or riding a bicycle. Whatever the workout is, keep in mind that it should elevate your heart above it standing heart rate and it should make you breathe slightly heavier than normal. It is also good if you can break a sweat or feel your muscles challenged

Tip #2. Aways Eat in Moderation - (my favorite)

When you are trying to lose weight or sustain lost weight, it is vital that you allow yourself to eat all foods, but eat the unhealthy ones in moderation. The primary reason for many diets to fail is that people reduce the foods that they allow themselves to eat so drastically that they feel anxious after awhile eating the same things time and time again. When you allow yourself to give into simple cravings, you are rewarding your body and making it less tempted to crave larger portions of the bad foods.

You should also eat small portions of every food, regardless of its nutritional content. Eating smaller portions will help your stomach adjust to consuming less food. You can also drink water to help you feel full. American’s especially have a habit of eating more than one portion of food per meal – so be aware of your food portions!

Tip #3. Call a Friend or Family Member
Studies prove that having a Buddy help you work out increases your chances of maintaining a diet, exercise routine, or long-term weight loss. Buddies are fabulous motivators. They will keep you attuned to your habits and help you feel accountable throughout the day.

If you must, enlist the help of a partner to be an appointed weight loss guardian. He or she will be tasked with ensuring that you stick to your weight loss goals by encouraging you to report your progress several times a week.

Losing weight is turning into a struggle based upon the millions of overweight people in the US. Most are not successful when trying to shed those unwanted pounds and they abandon diets on a regular basis.

Why?

The fact of the matter is most people don’t exercise! Period. Look at all the different diet plans and see how many of them combine exercise with their plan. The majority, right?

Well, let’s get active and understand that our body runs much better when you get out and exercise. Whether it is a stroll around the block or down to the end of the street…..it helps. Start with baby steps and gradually move into jogging. You’ll be surprised how good you feel after a few days.

Get active today! This is a sure path to happiness!

Guys approach weight loss much different than women, hate to count calories, and therefore guys are not so quick to jump on the diet bandwagon.

Men love their favorites, such as burgers, pizza, hot dogs, lasagna, pot roast, tacos and scrambled eggs. But look out guys, too much of a good thing has a way of sneaking up on you and before you know it you are in trouble. Check out this study that was done recently.

The National Institute of Health (NIH), conducted a study over a 30 year span, showing nine out of 10 men and seven out of 10 women were overweight or became overweight. But despite being more prone to obesity, only 39 percent of men are on a diet or would try a diet to lose weight, as opposed to 70 percent of women.

Let’s start with your activity level and the diet will fall right into place.

it’s time to wake up and get a regimen - some walking, jogging or biking will do. Activity is the best medicine and getting started is the hardest part of it. Before you know it though, you will be looking forward to that jog around the park or maybe even planning a 5k race in your local area.

Are you enjoying your weight loss program? If not - listen up!!

Below are 5 real life tips to weight loss, which almost anyone can do without tossing out their favorite food or spending every spare minute in the gym. Realistically, any weight loss program will take time. If anyone promises you different, they are either not being completely honest or are simply uninformed. Follow one single weight loss program for 30 days, whatever it may be, and see if you have results. If not, move on to something else. In the meantime, check out several tips to getting started today.

Tip # 1
Walking. If you can set aside 30 minutes every day to enjoy a leisurely stroll, you will be strengthening your legs and your heart while burning some calories in the process.

Tip # 2
Use a mini cycle. These portable little exercise units offer the look of bicycle pedals set up on a metal bar, but without the high price or weight of a standard exercise bike. With a min cycle, you can pedal at your desk, on the couch or anywhere else that you can comfortably set and reach the pedals.

Tip # 3
Walk or take the stairs instead of an elevator. This is a terrific weight loss exercise without even noticing the extra effort. Something as simple as a few extra steps every day can go a long way where weight loss is concerned. The next time you go to the store, park in the middle of the parking lot and walk to the store. Avoid parking in the closest spot to the door, which is tempting, but opt to walk instead.

Tip # 4
You don’t necessarily have to cut out all of your favorite foods, but you should eat them in moderation. There is no single food that will completely hinder your weight loss attempt but, if consumed excessively, it may. For instance, simply limit your intake to one candy bar or, if you are being really careful, a miniature candy. There is no reason to cut out your favorite food when a conservative amount of the things we love can still have a place in our lives, including during the times that we are focusing on weight loss.

Tip # 5
Whatever your exercise routine, set aside a certain time each day to do it. Individuals who set a routine are much more likely to stay with it and find success than those who simply exercise whenever they have time. The goal to successful weight loss is to make time.

This article is intended to be used for informational purposes only. It is not to be used in place of, or in conjunction with, professional medical advice or a doctor’s recommendation. Prior to beginning any weight loss program, individuals must consult a physician for proper diagnosis and/or treatment.

Many minerals that your body needs are found in good veggie groups. For example, potassium is necessary for healthy nutrition. A lot of folks claim the benefits of potassium found in a single banana. But did you know, you can also get adequate potassium by munching a stalk of broccoli?

Try a salad of fresh young spinach topped with pine nuts and stirred with lightly cooked penne’. Feta cheese and a light vinaigrette dressing to create the perfect light luncheon meal.
